THE AMERICAN ROSE SOCIETY

American Rose Society

Founded in 1892, the American Rose Society is an educational, nonprofit organization dedicated exclusively to the cultivation and enjoyment of roses.  15,000 members enjoy promoting America's Floral Emblem through rose-related activities such as competitions, workshops, seminars, garden events and rose shows.  The ARS is located near Shreveport, Louisiana on the grounds of the American Rose Center, home to 20,000 rose bushes.

The pink-coral mini-flora rose, donated by Nor'East Miniature Roses, will be given to each convention attendee at registration in recognition of Colorado's state mineral, Rhodochrosite.

BOTANICAL ILLUSTRATION POSTER

The Denver Botanic Gardens will host an exhibit to celebrate the Botanical Art and Illustration Program during the ARS Convention. In honor of the event, the illustration program will participate in the preservation, through botanical illustration, of the heritage roses in Fairmount Cemetery. Moreover, a botanical illustration poster designed for the event will be available at the ARS Convention.
